Summer marks the peak season for study tours. On August 13, the Tramy Bean Products Popular Science Base welcomed a youth study tour group participating in the summer youth innovation programme of Zhangjiang Town, delivering a science popularization and practical experience themed on soybean culture for young students.
This activity is part of the Base’s Healthy Life Starts with Beans · Fun Bean Summer Study Tour Season series. Students visited the cultural exhibition hall, traced the millennia-old craftsmanship of tofu production, compared the flavour differences between northern and southern tofu, and experienced the unique charm of traditional Chinese food culture.
The study tour group sequentially toured the soybean germplasm exhibition area, inspection and testing laboratory, and production viewing corridor. Students observed soybean germplasm samples up close and watched product testing procedures, building a complete understanding of the food supply chain from seed sources to dining tables.
During the special lecture, instructors shared popular science knowledge about the nutrition of bean products. Leveraging its advantages across the full industrial chain, Tramy carried out the study tour through a combination of video screening, on-site observation and special lectures. While enriching young people’s summer life, Tramy gives full play to its role as an enterprise popular science venue and guides teenagers to establish scientific and healthy dietary concepts.
